My wife and I had an incredible experience on our Alaskan salmon fishing trip, all thanks to Captain Gabriel. His expertise was apparent from the start, as he quickly put us on a fantastic location for Coho Salmon. What really set him apart was his patience and kindness. He was a great teacher, dedicating time to show us the proper form, which made us feel much more confident and ultimately led to a very successful day. A friendly and expert guide who made our trip truly memorable—five stars!

Captain Gabe was a superb guide! Not only was he great company, but he also took the time to teach us exactly how to fish for silver and pink salmon right from the river. We had a brilliant time on the water, and the knowledge he shared made our amazing salmon dinner taste even better! Highly recommend for a fun, educational, and delicious trip.

Captain Gabe was absolutely awesome with our family, and especially patient and kind with our 5-year-old! He's a truly great teacher who made the entire experience fun and educational. Forget everyone else—Gabriel is the only guide you need! He is truly an expert who knows exactly what he's doing, even showing us how to spot salmon in rough waters. He went above and beyond, taking my 17-year-old out separately for a special one-on-one lesson to ensure he made a great catch. My friends (who are seasoned fishermen) loved his techniques and company, while my son and I (complete beginners) had the greatest time ever. I cannot recommend him enough!

We booked a half-day trip with Gabe after our cruise, and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Gabe picked us up in town right on time and was friendly from the start. He provided all the rods and waders we needed and patiently helped some of our group across the shallow creek areas. The fishing was great, with plenty of bites, and he even cleaned and bagged our catch afterward — a huge help since we were traveling light from the cruise. Highly recommend — 10/10 experience!

As a self-proclaimed "shark" (no joke, this guy knows how to find fish like a predator), he had us in prime fishing spots in Resurrection Bay that I wouldn’t have even known to look. Every time we thought we had reached the end of our line, Gabe would give us a tip, a quick adjustment, and bam—another catch. The trip itself was fantastic. The waters of Resurrection Bay are stunning, and Gabe shared fascinating tidbits about the area, the wildlife, and the history of Seward. He’s down to earth, easy to talk to, and keeps the energy high throughout the entire trip. On top of that, he’s a hell of a storyteller, making the hours fly by as we chatted and fished. Safety and preparation are also a big deal for Gabe. His military background shines through in the way he handles the waters, and local wildlife making sure everyone is comfortable and confident. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-timer, Gabe’s got your back. He knows the waters, the fish, and most importantly, he knows how to get you into some epic catches. The type of people you want to go fishing with, they were extremely helpful and had all the gear we needed. Both guides had a great sense of humor and made the trip enjoyable. We also caught plenty of fish.

We booked a group trip with Gabe on a day with less-than-ideal weather, not expecting much success. To our surprise, we all managed to catch fish! While dropping off our catch to be flash frozen, others coming off a boat in Seward remarked how impressed they were with the amount we’d caught from shore. Gabe is an incredibly helpful guide and an all-around fantastic person. We highly recommend him to anyone wanting to fish from shore with a few hours to spare. Snagging is a unique style of fishing, and it turned out to be a ton of fun!

Gabe is an exceptional guide. Despite less-than-ideal conditions—typical for Seward in August—heavy rain the night before our trip caused the creeks and rivers we planned to fish to swell to unsafe levels. We made the best of it and managed to land a few chum salmon. Gabe was calm and patient, guiding my wife and me through the process of flossing for salmon. I highly recommend Gabe to anyone looking to catch fish—especially salmon—without having to get on a boat.
